Hi, I’m Emily

Fun fact - before going rogue and becoming a photographer I was an aerospace engineer.

When I picked up my first camera though, there was a spark and I went with it. I believe God strategically places you to shine, and I’m so thankful for all the amazing people who have come into my life and chosen me to capture their stories.

My photography style is untraditional. I’m very go with the flow and love the in-between moments. Think dreamy, organic and creative. It’s just as important to me as it is to you that we are a good fit. Not only do I want to make sure that we vibe well, I want you to love my photography for me and my creativeness.

your #1 hype girl

I'm a small town Iowa girl who dreams of living every day to its fullest and chasing every sunrise and sunset.

I married my high school sweetheart, he's a super cool fighter pilot in the USAF. We've lived in Europe, Asia, and all over the US. We spend our days exploring the world and raising our tribe of wild young people.

My favorite memories are what I am creating daily. Whether we’re on a magical adventure or doing chores around the house, I try to create lasting memories and unrepeatable experiences with my family that will last them a lifetime. I strive to live this life God has blessed me with to the fullest.

I’m so excited to get to know you. Once you’ve explored my page and are ready, reach out to my contact form to say hey.

If the forecast looks wet, we can either make the call the night before or play it by ear and wait til morning. I’ll be in contact in the days leading up to the session to chat about our options.

  • Well, thank goodness I’m not the only one! Seriously, I get that young kids almost NEVER do what they’re asked, and that sometimes the most innocent comment to a 3-year-old can send them over the edge. Please don’t worry about the what-ifs - we can have as many snack/drink/tantrum breaks as your little ones need. We’ll do whatever it takes for your kids to have a great time, and I have a few tricks up my sleeve to make sure we get some great photos along the way!
